Gernot90
Hi to all American Geocachers. I´m from Germany and looking for an affordable way to get a new GPSr. In good old Germany the price for the 60cs is about 620,- Euro. That means ~ 740,- $ !!!! I have a buddy living in ZIP 10044 who is willing to buy a 60cs in the US and bring it to me, when he is in Germany next time. Now it´s your part: the best price i´ve found (incl. shipping) is 393,95 $. Has anyone a better price? Thanks to all and... Edited November 5, 2004 by Gernot90 Quote Link to comment
Neo_Geo
That's the best price I can find. I paid $380-something for my 60C when it first came out, so $393 for a CS sounds like a great deal! And with all that money you save, you can buy the European City Select maps! Quote Link to comment
+Timpat
If you want to order your 60CS direct and not have to wait for your buddy to make the trip, check out this Map60CS from Tiger GPS in the States. It's a bit more but still a very good price. I have ordered 60C from them and I'm very pleased. Quote Link to comment
T-BoneX2
The best price I've been able to find (and just today purchased one) is from Amazon.com. $381.00 plus $8.00 shipping. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Paid 360 + tax from Amazon a few weeks ago for the 60CS. Quote Link to comment
Neo_Geo
The best price I've been able to find (and just today purchased one) is from Amazon.com. $381.00 plus $8.00 shipping. Hmmmmmmmmmm... That's just $2.00 more than their price of the 60C! It qualifies for free shipping too, so save the $8.00. Quote Link to comment
+jollybgood
I don't know if it matters to you but if you buy the C60 in the U.S. it will come with the U.S. base map rather than Europe. Quote Link to comment
Gernot90
Thanks to all for the replies. I think i´ll buy one at amazon.com. My current eTrex Venture came from amazon.com too. I know, that the US units come with a different basemap than the European ones. That´s not a Problem, the basemap is a kind of rubbish in my eyes. The City Select software is recommendet with these GPSrs. But this software is cheaper in Germany Quote Link to comment
+Ackman
Try www.pricegrabber.com, I use this site to shop for most things I buy. Quote Link to comment
Gernot90
Thanks Ackman, I´ve used Bizrate and PricingCentral already, where PricingCentral seems to be the same like Pricegrabber. But Amazon.com is still the best buy. Quote Link to comment
