remove the "file:" part, and spell Groundspeak correctly, and that should work for you. Of course, you have to upload the image you want to that cache page, and then view it to get the proper URL in order for that to work.

For example:

<body

background="http://img.Groundspeak.com/cache/66389_600.gif"</body>

See my latest cache as an example.

Other than that, you have to select the "Yes I am supplying the HTML" check box. The HTML tag for the background can then be placed anywhere in the description.

Hope this helps.

Basically, the background photo just needs to be available somewhere on the Web. Some people do this by uploading it to their personal home page. I found it easier to just upload it to my cache page. Then when you follow the link for the photo, you will find it's URL (Web address). Copy the URL into the HTML tag I listed above, and you should be all set.

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

I think you can't use bgcolor because the stylesheet for the website overrides it. You can still use a solid color by doing:

<BODY STYLE="background-color: #000000;">

I have some examples of this running on my profile page and the caches I've hidden.
