+New England n00b
Woohoo! Another victi... er player! I can only help with the car question. The eTrex Legend does not have an antennae jack, so if you really find you need an antennae while driving, you could purchase what is called a re-radiating antennae. A google search will find one for you. These antennaes do not require a connection to your unit. As long as you keep the Legend near a window, though, you should be fine... I find it works "OK" for me... Quote Link to comment

Anybody in WA ever wanna join me or us let me know- Hooray for you! That's one small step for a man... I keep signal very well in the car with my Legend. In fact, I can't remember ever losing signal in the car (now, in the woods...). I keep it velcro'd to the center of the steering wheel, which is not only the perfect distance for my middle-aged eyes to focus, it also makes me look extra super special cool. Or like a giant idiot. I'm not sure. Just remember to take it with you when you get out of the car! Quote Link to comment

+AuntieWeasel
Uh.... does your car have air bags? Yeah. You reckon I'm going to eat my Legend at high velocity some day? It's a fifteen-year-old Miata, first generation airbag. If it works at all, I'm guessing I wouldn't survive the sort of accident that would make it deploy. Quote Link to comment
