+Kattukwaad
Hi all, I've been searching for GPS-software for my iPaq that's like my Legend, ie accepts different datums and shows me the direction arow as i'm approaching the cache spot... I use Tomtom Navigator 2, but the 'navigate to coordinate' function isn't half as useable as the good ol' Legend pointer arrow... Any suggestions? TIA, Ton Team Kattukwaad The Netherlands Quote Link to comment

+Kattukwaad
Well, to be honest those don't do the thing i want, the arrow-display-thing. Plus the fact that they cost around $135, which is as much as an Etrex... Quote Link to comment
+Daisy&me
Try Vito Navigator 2. Its $19.95 and does what you're asking for. You can download a free trial version. Quote Link to comment

+JeepCachr
Try this its free- visualgpsCE They also have other programs for non pocketPC's. If you try it let us know how it works. I can run in on my ipaq without a GPS but that doesn't tell me much. I'm waiting for my GPS, hopefully I'll get it today. Edited March 10, 2004 by JeepCachr Quote Link to comment

+Kattukwaad
Well, just been playing with VisualGPSCE, but couldn't find a place to key in the waypoint i was going to. The app itself is great, but for caching? Ton Team Kattukwaad The Netherlands Quote Link to comment

Are there any other programs that anyone knows off? Especially something that could open a GPX file for waypoints. Quote Link to comment
NeilFord
I've just grabbed both of these and will hopefully get a chance to try them at the weekend (assuming my Fortuna Clip-on arrives as promised). I will endeavour to report back. I will be putting them up against a couple of Palm apps and GPS Disp on the Nokia 6600. - Neil. Quote Link to comment

It's interesting to let it log for several hours and see how they track in relation to your positon. Quote Link to comment

De Reisgenoten
I've been using OziCe (the PocketPC version of OziExplorer) for a while now, and nothing is better! And for lots of info (and links to usefull apps) on using the PocketPC for geocaching see: Geocaching with a Pocket PC FAQ Quote Link to comment
+splowe
Also try GPSTuner - can't remember the website but I got it a few weeks ago - it also does position averaging which my Garmin eTrex does'nt so it's supposed to offer a more accurate location fix. Quote Link to comment
