+aerospacecase
I have ZoneAlarm Pro installed and when I click on an image thumbnail, the large version will not display. I have looked at all the settings and can not find a way to allow pictures on GC without turning ZoneAlarm off completely. Does anyone have a solution to this? Link to comment
Jeremy
The images all point to http://img.Groundspeak.com (which will eventually have its own server). ZoneAlarm probably doesn't like pictures that point to other web sites. You should email customer support with ZoneAlarm and ask them how you can see the images. Like Google's popup stopper, maybe you can disable that feature on specific web sites. Link to comment
+Halden
You should be able to make a list o trusted sites. Link to comment
+DustyJacket
I use ZOneAlarm Pro (required by my employer) and have never had any problem. I certainly don't make Groundspeak or any other Internet site a trusted site. Go over your setting to see if you can find something that prevents pages from retrieving files from other domains. I forget the official name for it. If no one gets you the specific answer, I'll check tomorrw during the big snowstorm we will be getting, and post the answer here. Link to comment
AJK
Not to start a firewall flamewar (if that's possible) but unless you have no choice, consider ditching Zonealarm (IMHO). I use Kerio firewall, free for home users. Link to comment
The_Brownies
I use zonealarm with no problems. Suggest that you download the newest version and do not set you security level to high. When ZA asks to grant access to GC.COM tell it yes. Edited January 30, 2004 by The_Brownies Link to comment
+Prime Suspect
I'm running the latest version of ZA, without any problems. You just need to tweek your permissions. Link to comment

How do you set it up so that GC has permission? The only thing I thought you could give permission to was a program, like InternetExpolder or Netrape. Also i should mention that when i want to see the pic that exploder won't let me see, i open it in netrape just fine. But in netrape i can't log in to GC.com. I think i'll blame jeremy for this. +Sparky-Watts
I use ZA and also use Netscape exclusively now. IE wouldn't let me upload or download pics, or certain other files. Not a bit of problem now with Netscape, never had any problem using ZA, either. Link to comment
The_Brownies
B)Just checked my settings. I'm not using zonealarm pro, just the free zonealarm edition. My settings are all medium, and I havne't had any problems on GC.com Link to comment
+DustyJacket
Try setting "Mobile Code Control" to OFF. It is on the Privacy tab. Edited January 31, 2004 by DustyJacket Link to comment
+DustyJacket
Also, what browser are you using? What version? If MS IE V6 check your security settings there, as there is a setting to prevent a web page from retrieving stuff from other domains - can't think of the actual setting, but I'll look after my errands. (Big snow coming tonight - must cache...must get food....me hunter/gatherer....) Link to comment
Clements Cacher
The problem could also be that you might be running a "Pop-up Stopper". I had a friend with a similar problem and he forgot that he was killing all pop-ups. I have zonealarm and have had 0 problems. I'd doubt that is your problem. Clements Cacher Link to comment
+aerospacecase
Thanks for all the posts. It turned out that the setting that was causing the problem was Ad Blocking set to high to disable banner ads. Setting it to medium allows the pictures to display properly. Just like geocaching, sometimes it takes more than one set of eyes to see. Link to comment

Just like geocaching, sometimes it takes more than one set of eyes to see. I had the same problem. If setting it to "medium" doesnt help, right click on the www.geoaching.com entry in the website list of the privacy tab. Klick options and disable all the blocking features for this site. Advantage: You can leave the general setting to htgh. Martin Edited February 5, 2004 by JeeperMTJ Link to comment
