wildlifeguy
In the opinion of those who post on this forum, what is a fair price to pay for or charge for 30mm ammo cans. I am thinking of buying a lot of them for what would seem to be a good deal and reselling some to offset my outlay of cash. Any advice? Thanks Peace! Quote Link to comment
DustyJacket
You mean 30 cal or .30 I paid $3 or $4 Quote Link to comment
Wulfster
They're $3 here at the army surplus store. The 50 cal cans are $5. Quote Link to comment
Hoop Prof
Yeah, National Outdoors has them 3 for $10.00 on sale right now, but everything there is normally overpriced. Usually the cans are more like $5 or $6 apiece. I think they were having a hard time moving them at that rate. Quote Link to comment
Renegade Knight
our best local price is 3.99 for 30's and 5.99 for 50's. Quote Link to comment

wildlifeguy
Thanks all for your responses. I just bought 30 for 100 bucks, so I guess I paid about average. Peace! Quote Link to comment
aka Monkey
http://web.govliquidation.com/auction/view?id=305053 Apparently the government pays $1 a can for those things. Seems a bummer to pay $3 for 'em used, but I certainly don't need 384 of 'em. Especially since they're in Tennessee, and I would think shipping on four palettes weighing 250 lbs each might be ...excessive. However if a Geocaching group got together and bought them and added log books, pencils, stickers and maybe cameras and resold 'em as Geocaching Kits, they could probably do well.
