TheNomad Posted January 1, 2004 Posted January 1, 2004 Hey all, Have you guys noticed a high frequency of deadlocks? It seems that every time I go to log finds and such, I keep getting deadlocks. The site is getting slower and slower I noticed. Anyone else noticing this?
sbell111 Posted January 1, 2004 Posted January 1, 2004 I noticed that I frequently have a hard time going to 'My Cache Page'. It will act as if its slowly loading, proclaim that it is done, and leave me on whatever page I was on.
sbell111 Posted January 1, 2004 Posted January 1, 2004 You jinxed me. Now I keep getting the 'server busy' error.
Web-ling Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Deadlocks and other error messages have become VERY frequent over the last several days. I wonder if it's just a lot of people off work for the holidays using the site more than normal?
Jeremy Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Yes. We're doubling our highest traffic numbers this week. Check the 'about' page to see how many accounts are logging caches. I rebooted the machine which may clear up some of the "user too busy" errors.
Kitch Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Check the 'about' page to see how many accounts are logging caches. HOW???
Eric K Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Check the 'about' page to see how many accounts are logging caches. HOW??? Go to the "geocaching.com" link and click on the "About" button on the left hand side. There are some statistics on how many logs have been written for the last several days.
GrizzlyJohn Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 See that is what happens when you tell everybody to get out of the forums and go find some caches.
Kitch Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 i haven't used that page since my first week........ geez....
