Revisiting Caches For Tb's ??

Do you revisit caches (Generally local ones) for the sole purpose of retrieving travel bugs ??

 

I went back to 'A place to relax' which is a local cache for us to drop off a travel bug but I was wondering about the ethics of specific trips to retrieve TB's ??

I have done it once to get my first TB. but not done it since, But I would if I could help it on its way

My immediate response is that.....

 

....if you think you can help a TB to move on towards its goal then why not. Simply post your visit as a note not a find........

 

"I am going to Outer Mongolia next Friday and thought I could help TB "Ulaanbataar here I come" on its way."

Travel Bugs want to move, so I don't see anything wrong with it.

We normally leave them for others if we've been to the cache. However, once they've been there for a month or more, we'll often go and get it.

So the general idea is 'yes' go for it !

 

That's good, I will check the local caches and their TB's and see if I can help any !

I personally have no second thoughts about picking up bugs from previously visited caches. If I am going away anywhere I will pick up a local bug and take it with me. The caches up here are seasonal, Generally we only get tourist cachers passing through so it is possible for caches to remain untouched from october to may. And it is a long wet cold winter to live in a box with no fresh air.

I agree it is OK. That is particularly true of TB Hotels. I think they are mostly designed to be revisited to help the TBs. Certainly I intend to visit the one near me several times.

i never do, but thats just me - i like a challenge of new caches. caches i have been to once are no challenge
