+Bozz
Is there any way to read the pocket queries on your Palm Handheld without purchasing MobiPocket Reader? Not sure if I want to spend the money on the reader, it is kinda "slow" and awkward to use. Bozz Quote Link to comment
+GeoBond007
There are several cachers that make free readers and others change a small amount. Go to cachgear.com for a complete overview of the programs. I have a palm so I use cachmate a whopping $7 but well worth it. GeoBond007 Quote Link to comment
+Lil Devil
When did they start charging for MobiPocket? I thought the main reason GC.com went with that inferior program was that it was free. I humbly suggest GPX Spinner and Plucker. Quote Link to comment
+Bozz
Thanks for the suggestions, I assume these programs will read the .prc file contained in the query email? Or, do you use the .loc file? Bozz Quote Link to comment
+reg3
I get my pocket queries in .GPX format and use GPX Spinner and Plucker to get the data into my Palm. Works very well. Quote Link to comment

It costs $7, but it will allow you to load 10 caches without registering so you can try before you buy. CacheMate is more then just the information, it's a database you can enter your logs into and do all kinds of things. If you have a Garmin, you can even upload the waypoints to your GPS from your Palm. Quote Link to comment
+Bozz
Thanks, tried it and it looks pretty good. One complaint though.... it does not transfer (or seemingly) the Cache name, just the short GCVHD or whatever it is. That is the only thing I have found that I like better about the MobiPocket Reader. Correct me if I am wrong! Bozz Quote Link to comment
+Alacrity
I think MobiPocket is free for a trial period then stops working? Been some time since I tried it. Anyway, there was another thread about Palm software: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...topic=59594&hl= Personally I recommend The GPX Spinner/Plucker combo. Works well for me. I know others swear by CacheMate. Quote Link to comment

That's what's on the list. The waypoint name is optional. Most GPS can't hold the cache name. Quote Link to comment
+GeoBond007
In cache mate you can either list as name or waypoint number. Its listed and changed under options. GeoBond007 Quote Link to comment
