Geo Quest
I just retrieved a cache I had placed last year. It was on top of a mountain all winter long. The contents were dry as a bone when I opened it up. Ammo box? Nope. It was one of those two gallon buckets that automatic dishwasher soap comes in. All the durability of an ammo can at a much cheaper price (Free! with the purchase of soap). Even comes with a convenient carry handle like ammo cans. syd_b_lives_on
Hmmm. At $3.99 apiece, I will stick to my trusty 250 calibur ammo box. Quote Link to comment
magellan315
As long as the contents stay dry, thats all I ask in a cache container. By the way what brand of soap did you use? Quote Link to comment

For bear proof containers maybe you want to talk to this guy ;-) All I can say is my money is on the bear "Go BEAR!!" http://www.nfb.ca/grizzly/suit.html Quote Link to comment

I thought I was a little off, then I looked at my GPS and discovered I accurate to 12 ft. Geocachers don't NEED to ask for directions! Quote Link to comment

+Zartimus
I've seen black bears open supposedly "bear-proof" garbage containers in Banff. Scary. They would have no problem with a cache tube. Quote Link to comment
