+Belleterre Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 I just logged on to check out the newest caches in the state and everythings different! What a shocker. It seems that we are now only shown the most currently placed 500 caches in a state. (we currently have just over 1000) The order seemed to be totally random. I realize that I can create a custom querry, but it's also limited to 500 caches. Am I missing out on something that would let me get a complete listing of state caches? +sbell111 Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 You have no idea how much I wish I had this problem. Quote
+EliJoMikMiNi Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 500 in 1 state!!!!!! WOW! We now have a total of 101 caches in WV. I too wish I had your problem. The harder you work, the harder it is to give up. Vince Lombarde Quote
+DenaliNW Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 The explanation for the change, and the results don't seem to match up. Is this the most recent in chronological order, or the most recent in order to a geographical point (center of WA?). I would occassionally check this page to see all the new caches placed, but they are not showing up as before. Quote
+Criminal Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 Yo Belleterre! I wish there was some way to limit the search to west of the Narrows. +sbell111 Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 I just checked the list of caches in Tennessee and it still shows in chronological order (new-old). Quote
+Belleterre Posted August 26, 2002 Author Posted August 26, 2002 Oregon still has all 1000+ listed in chronological order, so maybe WA is the guinea pig. I just tried an area code search to see if that was a reasonable alternative, but I got more hits in OR than WA. It must include closest caches instead of just 1 area code. Quote
Moun10Bike Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 California seems to have the same problem as Washington, though. I sure hope this gets rectified soon -- the recent list is what I use to keep my personal cache maps up-to-date! Moun10Bike's Geocaching Pages Quote
