+t. shuffle
I read a while back that Magellan was going to release a new version sometime this spring. Has anyone heard anything on the release date? I really want to buy this software, but don't want to spend the money if the new version is right around the corner. Quote Link to comment
+embra
The word was that sometime in April was to be the release. Although I haven't heard of any change to it, I would take that time frame with a grain of salt...I'm cautiously optimistic, but I wouldn't be surprised if it got pushed back. +t. shuffle
Thank you. I reckon it won't kill me to wait another month. Quote Link to comment
+Quoddy
I wondered why the software was SO difficult to find all of a sudden, and offering a rebate, too. I had an on-line store (who had the software in stock) tell me to wait about a month, at which time I could get the anticipated updated version. Needless to say, if this really happens, as they (and I) believe, they will be getting all my business in the future. John C. Haley Quote Link to comment
EagleI
Magellan service told me that they would have a trade-in program of some kind. Send in your original cd from the current version and you would get some kind of discount on the new version. Quote Link to comment
+Geotrippers
I was just wondering, is the new version out yet? I would like to get Topo but of course I want the newest stuff. Quote Link to comment

+DustyJacket
It took me 2 tries because the first was corrupted, also. Disable your E-mail and anything else that accesses the Internet, then start the download and walk away from the PC. Don't access the Internet when you are downloading it. (I wonder if some cable modems get confused.) DustyJacket Not all those that wander are lost. But in my case... Quote Link to comment

There is also an animated route simulator where you can see your position move along the route. "Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand." Quote Link to comment
+DustyJacket
Now, if they would just update the data. Or allow my National Geographic TOPO! to upload maps, that would be great. DustyJacket Not all those that wander are lost. But in my case... Quote Link to comment
