  1. My post may have been a little sarcastic, and maybe a little overly critical, but I think it's good that it sparked the reaction that it did.
  2. It's funny to pay every month to support a site that clearly has no regard for it's members. It's funny to pay every month to support a site that is clearly afraid of any criticism; afraid enough to stifle it and nip it in the bud whenever it pops up. It's funny to pay every month to support a site that clearly wants no competition, and, sadly, has none.

  4. Download the *.loc file from the cache page. To make things simple, save them in the same folder where you have EasyGPS. Run Easy GPS. Choose File, then Open, (or just Click the big 'Open' button), and sellect the file you just saved.
  5. But a lighter just goes along with the pack of cigarettes I usually leave..
  6. I don't think you can go wrong with Motorola. We have a set of the 5420's that work great. Paid about $60-$70 for a pair, came with a charger and a set of nicads.
  7. quote:Originally posted by Lazyboy & Mitey Mite:I booby trapped one. I stuck a big rubber spider inside of one that moved when you opened the lip. I like that.
  8. In ten years, any self respecting pair of Oakley sunglasses will have a GPSr built in. The receiver will be remote, about the size of a small pager, and connect to the shades with a small wire. Looking through them will be kinda like in The Terminator. Geocaching as we know it will have become passe. Cyber-Punk gangs will have taken over the sport. And cars will run on compressed air.
  9. *waits impatiently for the IPO* This is going to make some forward-thinking individuals very wealthy.
  10. Thank you. I reckon it won't kill me to wait another month.
  11. Thanks! This is cool feature that I did not even know was available.
  12. I read a while back that Magellan was going to release a new version sometime this spring. Has anyone heard anything on the release date? I really want to buy this software, but don't want to spend the money if the new version is right around the corner.
  13. The 't' is short for Thorazine. ThorazineShuffle was my nick when I was playing online games like Quake. As to why I chose that name, well, that's a long story.. ;]
  14. I was at my local Ace hardware yesterday, and they had small first aid kits on clearance for $3.00 each. Thay have the varaious bandages, antiseptic wipes, instect repellant, and electrolyte tablets, all in a cool little zippered nylon pouch. I bought four of them, but I think I might go back today and buy the rest.
  15. I just bought this charger from Thomas. It came with four 2000mAh Maha cells for about $49.00 I haven't even got got them cycled the prerequisite five times yet, and am getting great run times in my SporTrak Pro.
  16. Let's say I'm out in the clear, get a good lock on one or both WAAS satelites, download the corrections. I then head down into the canyon, or the woods, and lose the WAAS sats. My receiver (SporTrak Pro) still shows WAAS, which makes sense, as it has already downloaded the corrections. My question is, how long, and/or how far from the position I downloaded them from are those corrections good for?
