Geocaching app on android - links not opening to browser

Links from inside the geocaching app are no longer opening up to my internet browser but it used to work fine. Has anyone else ran into this lately?
This is using an android phone - Samsung galaxy A42. I have Samsung internet and google chrome on the phone. 
Other geocaching apps are working fine for all links. The geocaching app wont open any links: challenge checkers, the 'open in browser' link, nor any of the links in the 'more' tab like 'shop geocaching'.

The app has no more recent updates than I already have.
How strange.

I just tried a couple links my from a cache page on the official app, including "open browser" and one to a YouTube video. They all worked perfect. I am using Chrome.

Works for me, Android on a Motorola. I suspect some setting/permission has changed on your phone as a result of an update.

 The update could have been to your OS, or geocaching...Check settings, app defaults, and links for the app(s) you use for geocaching - the links should be (at the least):
coord.info

www.geocaching.com

 

Add any other links URL's you want to use to open the browser version.
