+TheGrey
I found a trackable in a geocache says it's from cache crate. It has a CCxxxx code on it, but no TB code. When I search for the CC code on geocaching.com it can't find it. Anyone know how I'm supposed to log this? Quote Link to comment
+Max and 99
What happens when you put the CC number in? Quote Link to comment

+Hügh
Presumably you need to activate it. 1 Quote Link to comment

This is something best asked in the Help Center. Sometimes there are letters and numbers in a Tracking Code that are confusing. 0 looking like O, stuff like that. While you wait, information may be useful. Which cache did you find it in? Is it obviously brand new, never traveled cache-to-cache? Is there a cache log mentioning placing a coin that cannot be tracked? Was a photo of it posted? Edited August 18 by kunarion Quote Link to comment

Thanks, I've tried it with both a 0 and O with same results. Based on the cache inventory, I think it may be this TB that has been activated and traveling around for a while: https://coord.info/TBAD8MQ However, that TBAD8MQ code is no where on the actual TB. +Max and 99
My cache crate trackable starts with a CC. I'm convinced that's how you need to log it. Quote Link to comment

This is definitely NOT the message you should see when entering your CCxxxx code in the search box of https://www.geocaching.com/track/ Quote Link to comment

Using the https://www.geocaching.com/track/ link brought me to the trackable page! I was using this page to search for it: https://www.geocaching.com/track/search.aspx?k=xxxxx For whatever reason the search on the first link works and the search on the second link doesn't. +Tungstène
Please edit your reply and remove the tracking code we can read at the end of the link. Edit: your second link is the one you use when your first search entry is not a tracking code (having misread an o instead of a zero, for example). The new form that then appears is known NOT to give you a second chance to enter it correctly. Edited August 18 by Tungstène 1 Quote Link to comment

If the Trackable search fails, you're presented with the failure message where no Tracking Code will ever succeed. When this happens, I always need to remember to start over on the Trackable search page. Edited August 19 by kunarion Speeling Quote Link to comment

Yeah, that's the way it in fact works. But I always forget that. Quote Link to comment
+Max and 99
I'm very disappointed to see that someone is discovering this trackable just because of the forum discussion. 1 Quote Link to comment

Yes... one of the nasty traps on this site - has existed since the Spanish Inquisition in 1478 (back then, the site was entirely made of mahogany wood) 1 1 Quote Link to comment
