Found TB tag without the item (cup) connected to the chain.

Found TB tag without the item (cup) connected to the chain. It is marked as missing. I would like to buy a toy cup and then reactivate it and send it on its way.  (There are some fun key chain cups at my local drugstore.) I have messaged the owner and the site administrator who marked it as missing but have not heard from either person.

You can do this, for sure (and the community will be grateful), but only the owner can reactivate it, hopefully after seeing it "resurface".

"Grab" it and it's no longer missing.  It should now say "In the hands of Fran TheFran" on the Trackable's page.  It's "reactivated"...

Then you simply Drop it in a cache when you can.

Huh? It's marked missing; it's not in a collection or anything. By grabbing it / retrieving it, it's now back in action. No owner reactivation required.

Thank you all for the quick response. When I click on the owner's info it shows that he Last Visited 07/27/2024 so I know he probably saw my message. I am busy for a few days but then will add a cup and send the TB on its way. Hopefully, I'm not passing on a problem to someone else. The  reference number is  TB61NVH Cup of Mud if anyone is interested to see if I can get it reactivated.

Fran - Please read the comments above carefully. No 'Reactivation' is needed, it's not 'Inactivated', it's just marked as 'Missing' because no one know where it is. 

 

YOU, however, know where it is, so file a 'Grab' log and it won't be missing anymore.

 

Again, no 'reactivation' needed.
