+Nia
If enough cachers (10+) are interested, We are planning an Event cache in the new forest, 4 to 8 caches leading up to a meet at a child friendly pub. If you are interested please post below and include the following information:- 1 Prefer Sat or Sun 2 how many caches 4 5 6 7 8 more 3 cache in the morning and meet for Lunch, or cache all afternoon and meet up about 6:00pm hopefully to be in the next few weeks..........(not to clash with Birmingham) Tech-no notice Quote Link to comment
+jeremyp
1 yes. I can't do week-days. 2 Depends on whether you are intending a competitive element. Eight would be fine if you are and we aren't expected to do them all, but probably too much otherwise. Don't forget that "in a few weeks time" it'll be getting dark quite early which leads us on to 3 probably lunch time because it'll be dark before six. Or you could finish earlier. ------- jeremyp The second ten million caches were the worst too. http://www.jeremyp.net/geocaching Quote Link to comment
+cone_dxf & family
1. from a personal point of view Saturday would be better, as junior football is Sundays and likley to interfere 2. Depends on the distance apart/difficulty, specially given the shortness of the day. 3. early darkness suggests lunchtime meet I suspect. also unavailable weekend of 16/17 November as I'm in Wales for RallyGB Quote Link to comment
+djh
Yup we would be up for a cache meet dependant on what time on what day. DJH Quote Link to comment
LazyLeopard
Yep, sounds like it might be fun, but I'm hobbling at the moment (a victim of Inclined to be Nervous) so I can only visit caches on nice level terrain. I think I'd prefer lunchtime to evening. I have no problems with caching after lunch though. Sundays are marginally less heavily booked than Saturdays... Purrs... +Kouros
Weekend would be most suitable, but yes, I would be interested in coming. Saturday (but Sunday is also a possibility) however many caches you can, and aither morning or afternoon is suitable ------ O God, I could be bounded in a nutshell, and count myself a king of infinite space, were it not that I have bad dreams. +paul.blitz
> 1 Prefer Sat or Sun Saturday is probably better for us if its in the morning (church on a sunday) > 2 how many caches 4 5 6 7 8 more I guess a lot depends on the distances involved. Are you thinking of a walk or a drive? I would look for a maximum of 2 hours.... > 3 cache in the morning and meet for Lunch, or > cache all afternoon and meet up about 6:00pm Given that it gets dark early (and even earlier soon...) it's really GOT to be morning... >(not to clash with Birmingham) We (me & Michael) are planning to go to Birmingham (week on Wed): if anyone wants a lift (free petrol!) the car has 5 empty seats. It's gonna be an early start though! Paul Team Blitz No, I gave YOU the car keys.... Quote Link to comment
+Nia
Ok thanks for the interest. I think the concensus is for asat. (asat doesn't make sense) a saturday morning in November. probably 4 caches. Watch this thread. Does anyone recognise the 'asat' comment. First correct reply wins a free beer.
