+SoonerCardsFan
At the risk of sounding stupid. A local cacher posted on our group's Facebook page that there are new rules requiring hides to be made easier to find. Including a description of the container and directions to find it in the hint. I'm not the best researcher but I can't find anything like that. Anyone have a clue where he got this idea? 5 Quote Link to comment

Moun10Bike
I'm wondering if this blog post covering ways to increase the rate of success on your cache hides could have led to a misunderstanding: https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2023/11/take-the-hint-give-a-clue/. Alternatively, they may be misinterpreting the request that cache hiders provide detailed descriptions of cache hides in a reviewer note when submitting a cache for publication. 2 2 Quote Link to comment
+Max and 99
I was told that the new rule says coordinates must be dead on top of caches now. 3 Quote Link to comment
Moun10Bike
Accurate GPS coordinates have always been required for caches, so I'm still not sure what is meant by "new rule." 2 2 Quote Link to comment

+SoonerCardsFan
No one I've talked to has heard of any new rules. I've emailed our reviewer but I suspect that I'll get the same answer from him. Quote Link to comment
+SoonerCardsFan
Answer! The reviewer replied that a cacher asked a bunch of questions about hide requirements. He must have assumed that the reviewer's answers were new rules. They were not. They were the rules that have been in place for years. 2 1 Quote Link to comment
