Rob & Lisa
Hi. The UK Geocaching Waypoints page at http://www.roblisa.com/geocache/ now has an option to generate files that indicate which caches you have found or lets you just download found or unfound caches. The list of caches you've found is generated along with all the other files so you may find one or two missing if you have logged it after the last update of the files but it will appear within a few days (unless we go on holiday again ). Hope you find it useful. Cheers, Rob. Ok, 10 metres. It's somewhere around here... Quote Link to comment
el10t
Rob, that looks really useful! I haven't tried it yet - will give it a go when I get home from work this evening. Thanks a lot. ----------------- el10t mobilis in mobili Quote Link to comment
+Chris n Maria
Thankyou, Thankyou. This is something I have been wanting for a long time but didn't dare ask for. I've just tried the CSV download and it works great. Well done Rob! +The Hornet
As I said in my e-mail earlier this is a wonderfull tool and will be immensely useful. Thanks again. Quote Link to comment
+Subarite
I have just tried the new custom feature and it is spot on, allowing an import (.csv) into Autoroute. Well done. Andy. Quote Link to comment

+Lassitude
Tried V4 Mapsource file with my user profile and only caches I have not found and it worked flawlessly. This will save me a lot of time and effort. Thanks Chris LASSITUDE- (noun) Tiredness and apathy: a state of weariness accompanied by listlessness or apathy[15th century. +Richard & Beth
Looks like we'll have to make a new forum for Rob's head as it grows with all these compliments! Seriously, just made use of the new feature myself, certainly beats the Mapsource shuffle I had to do before to preserve my finds! Richard Quote Link to comment
+Chris n Maria
Would it be possible to extend the scripts to produce Palmable pages which have the cache description, hint and OS Grid Ref on them? Just thought I would ask..... Chris "We're not lost - we just don't know where we are" London & UK Geocaching Resources: http://www.sheps.clara.net Quote Link to comment
Rob & Lisa
That would probably depend on what you mean by Palmable pages. Do you just want a plain text file that you can paste into a MemoPad document or a .pdb file or a page you can access through a Palm web browser? If it's a plain text file, send me a sample of what you are after and I'll see what I can do. Cheers, Rob. Ok, 10 metres. It's somewhere around here... Quote Link to comment
Rob & Lisa
Ok, there is a page up now at http://www.roblisa.com/geocache/summary.html which filters the geocaching.com cache pages into simplified html suitable for printing and handheld devices. Note that this script is unrelated to the rest of the geocaching pages on the site and as such it is not restricted to UK caches and does not rely on me performing refreshes (with the exception of OS grid references which are extracted from the index pages but are just omitted if not found). Cheers, Rob. Ok, 10 metres. It's somewhere around here... Quote Link to comment
+Chris n Maria
Brilliant! Just tried it with plucker and it works great. All I need to do now is take the CSV file of stuff I havn't found and use it to generate an Index page. - Feed that in to plucker and I'm Sorted. Great. +The Hornet
Rob, this is another wonderful addition. Even without a handheld I will find this useful for producing printed summary lists. It will certainly save paper! Well done again. Peter Quote Link to comment
+The Wombles
Totally brilliant capability - just as Geocaching.com launches an eBook capability for members. I've registered but haven't received the output yet . . . Dave & Nicky Quote Link to comment
Rob & Lisa
Hi. Just a small update. There is now another form on the summary page that lets you get a summary of the caches you haven't found that are near a given cache so you can choose a cache near your house or holiday destination as a base and get all the closest caches in one file. Cheers, Rob. Ok, 10 metres. It's somewhere around here... Quote Link to comment
+Icenians
Would it be possible for you to put an index of the caches in the summary at the top of the page which link to the appropriate places in the page. A summary with that would be bang on perfect. Well done Rob & Lisa! Quote Link to comment
Rob & Lisa
Hi. Ok, indexes are available via a new dropdown. You can have No Index, Index at Top or Index Only. Also, hints now have [decrypt] links as requested by Chris & Maria. Cheers, Rob. Ok, 10 metres. It's somewhere around here... Quote Link to comment

Oh that's it name the guilty Thanks loads as it now means I can download everything I need on to my palm and using plucker it dosn't take up much space at all. +Icenians
Tried the summary with the index. Can't ask for more. Many thanks. This is better than the ebook solution. Quote Link to comment
+Chris n Maria
....so in a bored moment I have produced a spreadsheet (well that way it looks like I'm working ) which allows you to build completley customised indexes from robs CSV files and automates the load process into Plucker. If you think it might be of use you can download it from: http://www.sheps.clara.net/UKTools.html Chris "We're not lost - we just don't know where we are" London & UK Geocaching Resources: http://www.sheps.clara.net Quote Link to comment
