TheCat
I am pleased to announce that following my message to Jeremy G:UK are going to be setup as authorised Geocaching.com merchandise distributors here in the UK. Full details will be available on G:UK.com at the weekend. Mark (TheCat) www.geocacheuk.com Quote Link to comment
Lance Ambu
Most excellent, dude. I vote we make Mark an honorary Jeremy! Lance It's dark and we're wearing sunglasses. Quote Link to comment
jeremyp
Do you get a cut? You deserve it with all the money you've put into your site. ------- jeremyp The second ten million caches were the worst too. http://www.jeremyp.net/geocaching Quote Link to comment
Huga
Can you get the discounted 8-packs of Travel Bug packs? It only seems possible to get these from the States, whereupon postage becomes an issue. A UK redistributor of the packs of tags would be great! -- **Mother is the name of God on the lips of all children** Quote Link to comment
TheCat
I can get anything that Geocaching.com supply. The only issue I will have is Import dutys and VAT which will be charged when the goods arrive in the UK. I hope to be able to sell items at the same price as other UK suppliers or a little below but delivery etc will be lower. I will also take orders and visit cache meets in the UK so cachers can buy there. In that case delivery will be little or nothing. I hope that cachers will buy from us as it is one way of supporting G:UK. It will also support Geocaching.com as well. I am in the process of placing my first order with Geocaching.com so if there is anything you would like please email me at mark@geocacheuk.com and I will see what I can do. I will have more of an idea of prices when the first order arrives as I will then know what duty I am charged. But I promise that items will be no more expensive than other Uk suppliers, and cheaper if I can make them so. Mark (TheCat) www.geocacheuk.com Quote Link to comment

Teasel
Brilliant! Anything which simultaneously benefits both geocaching.com and GeocacheUK has got to be good news! Is the goal to provide a full online ordering service? With credit cards? Or is it going to be a bit more adhoc? Either way, it's a great step forward! Quote Link to comment
The Bennett Family
As we are already fans of the UK site you can take it as a given that we'll be ordering from there. Many thanks for all the hard work. We take our children everywhere, but they always find their way back home... Quote Link to comment
Travers
Any idea when the first consignment will arrive? I'll have some travel bug tags. Quote Link to comment

TheCat
I have just placed my first order with Bryan at Groundspeak it will ship on Monday. the order was for $1300. We are also going to produce some UK merchandise as well this will in some cases have both the G:UK logo and the geocaching.com logo on them. We will be paying a royalty to geocaching.com so it will help this site as well as ours. Having talked to Bryan on the phone I am sure that this is the begining of a long and lasting relationship between both sites. However we will not be producing Travel Bugs here in the UK as I feel there is no need to reinvent the wheel. Mark (TheCat) www.geocacheuk.com Quote Link to comment
Chris n Maria
Just a thought Mark, Perhaps you could team up with Hornet Enterprises and supply Ammo boxes with a Sticker on the side plus a log book and pencils already in them. Then all we would need to do is just add the swaps. Just an idea.... Chris Bear rescues a speciality! London & UK Geocaching Resources: http://www.sheps.clara.net Quote Link to comment

Lance Ambu
Why pay anything? Follow the dots on your GPS and you will find ready assembled ones just lying about for the taking. Lance It's dark and we're wearing sunglasses. Quote Link to comment
Huga
You mean we're supposed to pick up caches when we do them? Oh hells. Um, how do we grab virtual caches? Buildings are a bit hard to carry. -- **Mother is the name of God on the lips of all children** Quote Link to comment
The Hornet
OK - for just £20 I can offer the complete caching service. I'll supply the Ammo Box, painted of course, add logbook, pencil, disposable camera, ziploc bags and an assortment of goodies. I'll then hide the cache and post it on the site. I'll then go and find it for you, fill in the logbook, take my picture and take some suitable swap. Just to add that final touch I'll trash the cache for no extra charge. Where else can you get service like that _________________________________________________________ It is better to regret something you did, rather than to regret something you didn't do. From your user name I thought it was just some sort of internet escort or companion service. How much is that in Euros? Quote Link to comment
