+CherokeeThree Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 (edited) How do I delete a bogus log from my very early Travel Bug? It has never been out of my possession, and never had the tracking number shared in any way. And, how can someone even discover without the tracking number? Click on "visit log" then the trash icon. 2 Quote

We often see tracking codes in photos on Trackable Owners own trackable page. That 'oops...' means many "Discovers"... Sometimes a cacher will post it in their gallery without ever placing it in the trackable's page. That code's now online... I've found hundreds of trackable codes online, and usually leave a Discover log, telling that TO where I saw it (it's on them to fix it...). Many times, my Discover is deleted and I'm fine with that. Embarrassed I guess and want to blame someone for their mistake. And some create number generators, that goes through thousands of code variations before they get a hit. I feel that's a weird waste of time. Curious... what happened to TB 12? It's in an "unknown" location, but not a single log. Thanks. Quote
+CherokeeThree Posted August 8, 2023 Author Posted August 8, 2023 Hi, sorry it took me a bit to see this post. I have TB12, and it's duplicate, in my possession since purchase very long ago. I pondered releasing it to be discovered at events I host or attend, but have just never done so. Maybe someday. I reached out to the cacher that logged one of my old TB's. He said he was trying to complete a challenge for discovering 1,800 trackables. He wrote a program to try random numbers until he had enough to complete the challenge. Kind of lame, but makes sense, I guess, since it's impossible that he ever saw my trackable. Thanks. 1 Quote

So he's cheating on the challenge. You still have every right to delete his log. Quote
