CheekyBrit
The geocaching app is silent when you make a find (which I recon is a good decision to not force everyone to hear a repetitive sound). But what if you yourself want to celebrate each time you make a find, or a milestone find? Lately I've been listening to This Jingle I found but cannot figure the source for each time I make a find. (link to audio file on my google drive) For android users you can turn any audio file into a 1x1 widget on your home-screen. I'm sure there's an equivalent on Apple. That way it's just one click on the phone and convenient. WHAT tune would you like to listen to each time you make a find? I'm guessing something short. I'm excited to see what everyone thinks of. Here's a few I thought of: 'To be continued' (from roundabout by Yes, popularized by Jojo) Zelda found item sound Sonic coin Mario 1-up Mario power-up Victory sound from Megaman Mario kart start of race jingle 'Bust a move' (originally from found a child by Ballin Jack) Magnum P.I. snippet from intro A-Team theme snippet Riff from Reelin in the years by Steely Dan Riff from la grange by ZZ top Riff from eye of the tiger by survivor Riff from fire by Kasabian Riff from fortunate son by Creedence Clearwater Revival Riff from Oye Como Va by Santana Riff from shining star by Earth Wind Fire Opening riff from 'work to do' by Average white band Quote Link to comment
niraD
How about excerpts from: "Hogan's Heroes March" "1812 Overture" (towards the end where the cannons/bells are used) "Stars and Stripes Forever" "Back to the Future Theme" the original "Ewok Celebration" from Return of the Jedi "The Throne Room" from Star Wars (aka Episode IV: A New Hope) Quote Link to comment
TeamRabbitRun
Just say, "Ta-Daaaaa". That way, you can also apply any specific instance-driven emphasis that's appropriate. For example, my "Ta-Daaaa" for a mundane or lame cache find would be significantly different from my :"Ta-Daaaa' for a super-difficult one. There might be a hint of irony, or perhaps wistfulness if I had hoped for a better experience. Having a pre-loaded identical 'tune' play every time, regardless of the experiential factors or effort expended might get old, quickly. Perhaps if there was a way to introduce an element of randomness.....perhaps a variable tune tied to D/T ratings, and adjusted in real-time by a combination of FP-Ratio, region, distance from home, time of day, prevailing weather, etc. you could use Chat-GPT to evaluate your last several logs (or draft-logs, if you're using them) for general mood considerations and so forth. Hmmmmm. This is a good idea!! Ta-Daaaa! Quote Link to comment
SpiritGuide
Geooh GO plays a Ta Da sound clip on finds and a Buzz sound on DNFs. And shows a starburst across the screen. Fun sounds and animations. Quote Link to comment

cerberus1
If it was a tough one, maybe "Gonna Fly Now", the theme from Rocky... Quote Link to comment
