nykkole Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 Turn this feature on to see an additional filter to show only caches that have trackables in their inventory. HQ will not actively participate in this thread, but will review it for feedback to assess if a feature should be further developed. Any posts in this thread should relate to features in this release. Comments unrelated to the release may be removed. Please direct unrelated comments to other appropriate threads. Thanks!
+BigDaddyDogZ Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 On 14SEP2022, I opened the Geocaching App to find the tabs at the bottom of the Map frozen (they used to auto hide). This is a major problem, because you have NO way of getting Longitude & Latitude with the Geocaching Map period! Now, even though I just shelled out $30 for the Annual Premium fee, plus a NEW fee for Premium “off line” maps of $2.99+
+suusinhawaii Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 (edited) I cannot see a difference in numbers of caches on my map, whether the trackable filter is on or off. Edited September 17, 2022 by suusinhawaii

You turn the feature on or off under settings. Then, to activate the filter, you need to go to the filter icon at the top right of the screen and turn on the filter for trackables. It made a tremendous difference in my local caching area! Screenshot of my normal view, no filters applied, then where I selected to filter for caches with trackables, and then the result when the filter is applied.

Are you by chance seeing these things in a third-party app?

I occasionally use an iPhone for geocaching and I'm trying to imagine what you mean by the bottom tabs auto hiding. Edited September 19, 2022 by Max and 99

And sorry, I just saw this.
+Iamcornishpasty Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 I've found that once i turn on this feature, it is stopping my filter button from opening at all. Its such a shame because i think this would be a very handy tool. I'm about to go away, so thought it would be great to grab a trackable or 2 & take then with me, but currently i cannot get this feature to work

It will probably take a little while to fix this. In the meantime, a workaround to get at this filter if you need it: 1. Toggle on "Empty D/T grid search" in Experimental features in addition to "Caches with trackables" 2. Go to Profile > Statistics 3. Tap "Fill your grid" That will open the Filters screen and then you can apply the "Caches with trackables" filter.
