+swihart
(Edit: I MEAN HOW DO I FIND THE CACHE RECORDS, new ownership... Not how do I find the caches. Sheesh. Sorry.) My husband is RPW and he geocached avidly here in Purdue-land, Indiana, as well as elsewhere from 2002 - about 2010. Then it slowed down a lot when we bought a little land and started hobby farming and other interests crowded out caching. At this time a good reason has come up to find all the geocaches that he offered for adoption and were adopted by others. I can't find a way to search for these. His list of 21 Hides does not mention the three I've found so far that were adopted. GCKBZH and GC11249 and GCKVBW were all adopted by GOLDENGLOVES some time after 2010, but I found these haphazardly by searching for all the caches near us -- 1000 within 67 mi and that *might* well include everything he ever hid -- and then just word-finding RPW. I don't think he hid other caches further away, but we need to be sure. He had brain surgery 12 months ago that took a lot of his ability to speak, read, and write, and a lot of his near-term memory. If there is a way to search for these and know I'm getting them all, I'd appreciate a little help with it. THANK YOU! +cerberus1
Of the six adopted by GOLDENGLOVEZ, three were archived. Did you count them ? Quote Link to comment
+Max and 99
Would the Owner Maintenance logs for those old caches still be in his account? Those are easy to find! Quote Link to comment

+swihart
THank you and I'm only finding two of them so far. It's so.... non-methodical. Looking at GOLDENGLOVEZ caches list and word searching for RPW shows me that includesGCKVBWGCKBZH but not the third (non-archived) one shown above And it shows me the two archived ones GC11248 GCZQT3 Do not find a third one. THANK YOU for the help. Quote Link to comment

From there, you will see ALL log options, or you can select Owner Maintenance logs. It might be a start. If you can't find it I can send you a screenshot. I must not be using the "old dashboard" nor do I know where to get it. The interface I face does not have a Geocaches link at the top. When I click "Dashboard" logged in as RPW, it looks like this: Quote Link to comment

OK, thanks for being patient with me. It has 16 entries and does not seem to have adoption records but I will look harder. It does contain a log from 2007 (before GOLDENGLOVEZ even joined geocaching) regarding at least one of the caches that GOLDENGLOVEZ adopted. Thank you very much. Quote Link to comment
+VAVAPAM
If he adopted them out at about the same time, it looks like you might want to focus on the Sept 2011 time frame, which is when the Mad Scientist #4 was adopted (GOLDENGLOVEZ's then username was Mommanherjs). If he used the Message Center, there might be communications between them regarding adoptions. Just a thought. Quote Link to comment
+Max and 99
If your husband ever did any Owner Maintenance or Temporary Disable logs on his caches, that could help determine which caches he originally placed. Quote Link to comment

If you then click on any of the owner logs that I've indicated, it will hopefully lead you to at least some of those adopted caches. Edited September 15, 2019 by barefootjeff 1 Quote Link to comment

+coachstahly
The Lafayette area isn't quite as active as it used to be. I don't know if there are many of the older cachers left up in that area other than @SixDogTeam, and I don't think he caches much any more either. There's a FB page, Greater Lafayette Area Geocachers, that I posted in asking for assistance and you might want to consider joining, if you're on FB. Quote Link to comment

+Pleu
I am not sure if this is still relevant to you or why you need it OP. But I used an other site called "Project-GC" that can search for both the current CO and who placed the cache. This is a list of the 35 caches that the account RPW have placed and/or currently own: https://coord.info/GCEAD4 https://coord.info/GCG6GA https://coord.info/GCGJPA https://coord.info/GCH160 https://coord.info/GCHAR9 https://coord.info/GCHD7Y https://coord.info/GCHQ5H https://coord.info/GCHZXH https://coord.info/GCKBZH https://coord.info/GCKJM6 https://coord.info/GCKVBW https://coord.info/GCKY2J https://coord.info/GCMB0M https://coord.info/GCN4HG https://coord.info/GCN4HP https://coord.info/GCN9D9 https://coord.info/GCNX14 https://coord.info/GCNX8V https://coord.info/GCP1Y6 https://coord.info/GCR0HP https://coord.info/GCT3DX https://coord.info/GCT4Y6 https://coord.info/GCTZ60 https://coord.info/GCXWNG https://coord.info/GCYHZN https://coord.info/GCZMR1 https://coord.info/GCZQ8Y https://coord.info/GCZQT3 https://coord.info/GC10PZC https://coord.info/GC11244 https://coord.info/GC11245 https://coord.info/GC11247 https://coord.info/GC11248 https://coord.info/GC11249 https://coord.info/GC5CCKR Quote Link to comment
