How do I get to the Planet Event?

It was on the front page and now it's not there. Even though it's supposed to go on for another few days? So where did it go and how can I access it?

If you mean the Planetary Pursuit promotion, you can get to that through the "Your Friends" page in your profile. Above the list of friends, there is a link that says, "Get motivated with your friend league!".

There's also a link directy from the dashboard in the lefthand pane.

The promotion is long over. Right now the Hidden Creatures is in progess. Check other threads to learn more. It's easy!

Wow, they really need to take that off. I can understand your confusion!  It clearly states you get points for dropping trackables and attending events and other activities. And it shows a timer!

The Friends League is an ongoing feature, independent of any promotion.  There's no reference in the screenshot to the concluded Planetary Pursuit promotion.

The timer is to show how much time is left for the weekly competition you can have with your friends, should you choose to do so.

It's still confusing to those new to geocaching because the points shown in the Friend League do not match the current promotion, therefore you can't really tell what your friends' points are. The ones shown factor in D and T, and Trackable drops. The current promotion doesn't include those factors.

I agree, it can be confusing. Not only do the points not match the current promotion or any concurrent promotion, but the timing is off as well. Current promotion starts on a Wednesday and ends 4 weeks later, whereas the Friend League resets every Monday. Promotions are temporary, but the Friend League seems to be permanent -- a constant competition with your friends whether there is a promotion going on or not. At the top of the list of your friends scores, you will see a green box labeled "About scoring." Click on it and you will get a small box explaining how the scoring works.
