  1. And here's another one from the same cache. Looks like it is quite common to those with high find counts.
  2. Now I have a contribution on this type of log as I have seen one when checking caches near me (logging as found but admitting in the log details as did not actually finding the cache but just got to GZ):
  3. Thanks Max. It would be very nice if I can reach and get the World Turtle Souvenir..
  4. I already got the Yeti and 7 more caches until I unlock the Dragon souvenir. I hope I can collect them all before I go back home as caches are very far from my home location in the Philippines.
  5. Thank you very much for the information arisoft.
  6. Now that you mentioned it I remembered, you are right it was at project-gc where I have seen the souvenir list. It is here https://project-gc.com/Tools/SouvenirList
  7. Yeah, there's only a few country souvenirs I remember seeing a list somewhere. In some countries you can also get a state souvenir or a province souvenir.
  8. I was thinking it still kind of ongoing. (see screencap) Anyway I am on a roll with the Hidden Creature I love the souvenirs
  9. I got the Finland souvenir when I found a cache here.
  10. From a newbie point of view. If I went to the place, reached ground zero and searched for it and for whatever reason can't find the actual cache I will log a DNF. I don't see why a CO would not like a DNF log. The DNF log will actually remind the CO to check if the cache was missing if there were a string of DNF from many cachers. For the very first cache that I tried to find, I logged a DNF because I simply can't find it. After finding some other caches, I went back for it and found the cache.
  11. How about me? I don't have any friend yet. Someone please add me so I can also see what it is. Thanks
  12. Moikka fellow cachers in Finland. Do you have an information if there is a risk for this here in Turku? I was in Helsinki last week and even found some off road caches. Is it generally safe to do that too here in Turku? Kiitos
  13. I have a geocaching account since 2012 but have not logged any find because of the scarcity of caches in the Philippines. When I went to visit here in Finland, I was delighted to see the map almost full of them. I went on to go to the first cache nearest to my hotel and I was at ground zero already but I can't find anything (except a sleeping bird). Hint says "magnetic", to which I assumed it was the ticket vendo machine where "magnetic striped" credit cards are used. I checked the vendo still can't find it. Roamed around at both levels (the other side of the fence was higher ground) but still can't find it. After a good 1 hour of looking I logged it as DNF with a message that I will come back for it. I looked at my map for another cache and found my first ever. The find in itself is satisfying, of course the places where the caches are hidden are usually a good experience in itself but still it is the actual finding of the cache that I enjoy the most. After I got more and more caches even challenging ones, I come back to this cache and finally found it. Guess where? It's where the bird was sleeping. The bird was covering my view to the cache container.
  14. I guess my experience now finding a lot of cache here in Finland would enable me to create a good cache. I have seen a lot of creativity in some of the caches that I find.
  15. I'm generally cautious of urban cache in general. Although I do trust that our fellow geocachers follows our creed. Also I do a quick recon of the area trying to be discreet as possible. Then stand in the GZ for a while and looking at the map using the satellite view to have an idea of where to look so that I will not spend too much time looking. I also try to do the search at "off peak" hours.
  16. I have been a lurker since 2012 just trying to understand how the game works. Actually, I already did my first post a while ago before seeing this thread. I hope I can actively participate in the forums. I love this game, but sadly we don't have much caches in the Philippines. I guess I have to start creating them ( a lot of them).
  17. I'm trying to create mine but I get this error But I can still view Team Christiansen profile stats without any problem. I would like to have something like that too even just for my personal use.
  18. I have a geocaching account since 2012 but as there are very few in the Philippines I have not managed to hunt for cache there. When I travelled here in Finland I was so delighted when I open the map and see a lot of caches. I will start building caches when I get back home. I was inspired of all the caches that I have found here.
