+wmpastor
anyone have tips for hiding ammo cans No cities, no suburbs. Take them out in the woods. A hole in a tree would work. Or placing a rock on top. Or off the trail where plants help hide it. Quote Link to comment
+Touchstone
In my area, ammo cans are pretty much reserved for remote locations, with usually a lengthy hike/bike ride from the nearest road. Quote Link to comment

+coman123
Make sure you put a Geocaching label on it, in case it's found by a non-geocacher. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
All good tips. I've hidden a lot of ammo boxes. I find that rock outcrops with crevices and small caves are ideal. They are plentiful in the northeast but may not be in other areas. Also look for hollow tree stumps and hollow trees. Often down trees are a good spot. You might be able to tuck an ammo box under one or among the root ball or branches. Edited November 28, 2016 by briansnat Quote Link to comment
