+GBandBob
Hey there, If I ignore a cache, can I still open its webpage? And if so, will I still be able to see new logs as they're entered? I ask because, since the map doesn't show DNFs, I was going to ignore the DNFs instead. Quote Link to comment
+hzoi
You can still open the caches and view all logs if you use the links off your ignore list. But they shouldn't show up on maps or in searches. Quote Link to comment
+tallglenn
I wouldn't ignore DNFs. I would put them on the watchlist to see when someone else finds them or maintains them. When I first started, I had to go back to the same places again and again until I found them. Sometimes they aren't there for you to find, but most times you just need to look again. If you DNF in the morning, try looking in the evening sun. Expand your search 30 feet or so. If you've been looking low, look high. Don't give up on them. Quote Link to comment

+niraD
OK...I'm embarrassed to say I can't find an "Ignore List"Where might it be? I found mine this way, starting on the Your Profile page (click your name in the top left corner of the page on the geocaching.com site):Select "Lists" from the horizontal menu at the top of the page, then scroll down to the Ignore List entry. If you have never ignored a cache (the Ignore button near the top of the right navigation strip of the cache page), then you won't have an Ignore List. (Even if you create a bookmark list named Ignore List, it won't behave as an Ignore List unless it was created by ignoring a cache.) Quote Link to comment

I thought that's where it should be but all I see there are "Favorites" Watchlist" and my bookmark lists. I have ignored several caches over the years and was just wondering about the list. And I verified that it isn't showing up by "Ignoring" a friend's archived cache. Strange! Edited February 7, 2016 by BC & MsKitty Quote Link to comment
+GBandBob
Didn't realize it was a premium feature. Nevermind, lol. I don't give up on DNFs, I keep them in a Notepad file to check for other logs. I just wanted them off of the map itself so I could more easily see the ones I hadn't tried. Oh well. It should show up in your bookmark lists; it should be automatically generated when you ignore one or more caches. I deleted my ignore list a while back to save space. Later, I found that when I hit the "ignore" link on a cache, the Ignore List automatically regenerated in my bookmark lists. I verified twice this morning: deleting the ignore list, then clicking the "ignore" link in a cache, regenerated the list. Check back on your lists page from your profile and see if you just missed it (should be able to go direct by clicking here). Quote Link to comment

It's there, all right ... I just skimmed over the list too fast! Must be an age thing .... Me, I mean ... and I'm not getting started! +Tdimdad
A question relating to this: if I want to "unignore" a cache, how do I do that? Is it simply through deleting the entry (record) from the list? Say, I want to hide a few caches from my map now --> I'll 'ignore' them and they end up on a respective bookmark list. When I want them to be visible on the map again, I go and delete them from the bookmark list. Right? Quote Link to comment
