+Kurana4390e
Long Story short, I'm super eager to see my Geocache to be approved... At average, how long does it take to get approved? Quote Link to comment
+Sapience Trek
Anywhere from a few minutes to a week. Usually somewhere inbetween. Both yours are in the queue, so I'm sure your reviewer will be back to you soon. But: - your cache on the active RR tracks will almost certainly not be publishable - your other cache shows up as being in Xinjiang Uygur Zizhiqu, China, which appears to be a typo in your coordinates Quote Link to comment
+T.D.M.22
There is no average. I've had it reviewed in less than 5 minutes. The guidelines state up to either 7 days, or 14 days. I can't exactly remember. It depends on your specific reviewer. How many caches there are to be reviewed, when they review them, and then there's other things that may take away from that time. The reviewers have lives, they go to work, weddings, get sick, so they can't review any caches. That work then gets piled on another reviewer, so it takes a bit longer. As you can see it could be any amount of time. Some tips, make sure the cache has been submitted for review. Check your email and cache page for notes from the reviewer. Know the guidelines. All that will help getting it published faster. Remember there are still some issues that we all have to deal with, such as final locations for puzzle caches. Quote Link to comment
+niraD
According to the Help Center article My geocache has not been reviewed, the volunteer reviewers try "to begin the review within 7 days of enabling your listing." Depending on any issues with your cache (see Sapience Trek's reply above), actual publication could take much longer. Or it could never happen. But it's also possible that a cache could be published within minutes. Quote Link to comment
Keystone
Both caches have since been reviewed by the Community Volunteer Reviewer for Minnesota, where the OP is from. Same day service! That is pretty good, when both of the caches had issues. Sometimes, reviewers will publish the ones that are ready and have no issues, if the volunteer is having a busy day. Then they will tackle the harder reviews a little later, when they have time to write notes to explain the issues and how to fix them. Quote Link to comment
+Pond Bird
I've had a cache that took 3 days to be reviewed and three that took a day. And one where it took a few weeks because it was my first cache but then my mom and I finally had all the coords in place. Yes, it does depend on the reviewer for your area. Quote Link to comment
+HCompleto
If you've got all the information correct and if you've posted all the details on a reviewer note, then it would only take the reviewer a few minutes to check everything and publish your geocache. If you need to change details or provide more info, then it will take more time. Quote Link to comment
+NanCycle
If you've got all the information correct and if you've posted all the details on a reviewer note, then it would only take the reviewer a few minutes to check everything and publish your geocache. If you need to change details or provide more info, then it will take more time. But keep in mind that reviewers have other things to do in their lives besides review caches. Some of them have jobs, families, etc that require their time and attention. Even the ones that are dogs have to eat and sleep sometimes. Quote Link to comment
