+Chocolate Lundi
Hi, I recently discovered a moving virtual cache, Ye Ole Survey Monuments (GC45CC) and since I found it its been messing my Project-GC stats up, saying I've been and found caches in Gwynedd Wales when I haven't been there and thus saying I've found a cache on Snowdon at a high altitude etc. I like to be honest with my stats, and even though it was a genuine find of one of the monuments near to where I live, I would rather it not be counted towards my stats. Is there a way to get this cache exempt from being involved in the statistics or do I have to delete the find? If I do have to delete it do I just delete the log or is there another way? Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Quote Link to comment
+Chrysalides
Deleting the log (or changing it to a note) will work. It'll take some days for the change to be reflected at project-gc. Or you could ask the project-gc folks to exclude it from their stats. I'm surprised they don't do it already. Edited December 11, 2014 by Chrysalides Quote Link to comment
+Chocolate Lundi
Ok thanks... I just emailed info@project-gc.com to see if they can take it off my stats list. If not I'll delete the log. Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
GSAK allows you to 'lock' the one you find, every time you find a new one, so it only shows where you found it. Quote Link to comment
+Mineral2
apparently this is a famous cache, such that people have built tools to deal with logging it in multiple locations. http://www.yosm.org.uk/utilities.php Quote Link to comment

The OP is using project-gc, which pulls the information directly from geocaching.com. The utility modifies your My Finds GPX, which is then uploaded to sites that produces stats from a GPX file. +Chocolate Lundi
Ok I am now sorted on this issue... On project-gc.com, I went to profile stats page, clicked down the drop down menu for settings and then ticked the box for "use official ignore list for travelling geocaches", saved them one. Sorted, thanks for your time everybody Quote Link to comment
