Logging Events - when you're the host

I'm hosting my first event on Saturday, part of the WWFM.

As I've never hosted an event before, I was wondering if I should log an "Attended" for my own event or not?

In this case, does anyone know if I will get the Souvenir for WWFM if I don't log an "Attended"?

You won't get the souvenir unless log you attended. And there are different thoughts on whether you can/should log an event you host. We always log our attendance at our events because we did attend them.

The "you cannot find a cache if you know where it is" argument against logging your own cache doesn't apply to events, so I'd say go ahead and log the attended. As long as you show up, of course

An event you can attend, and have the same experience hosting or not. Well maybe you did some more work, but still the same. So go ahead and log it. It's different than a cache, where you already know where it is, so your experience is different then those who had to look for it. Unless of course you didn't go to your event. Don't say it doesn't happen, it happened to me twice.

I've logged attended on my own events. The (semi-)"official" guidance/advice I got from both a Groundspeak person and from a couple of the reviewers here is that we're meant to log attended. That was good enough for me!
