+Bear and Ragged
Save the find as a Field Note? > http://www.geocaching.com/my/uploadfieldnotes.aspx You can log via the web site > http://www.geocaching.com/my/recentlyviewedcaches.aspx Quote Link to comment
+Gitchee-Gummee
Log your find... In the unit -or- on the website -or- do you mean upload the field note? This link http://www.manualrepubliccdn.com/pdf/garmin/586-m-oregon-600-manual-owner-s-manual.pdf allows you to download the (full) manual. It's cheaper to have you download it then to print something for each unit that most won't read anyway. Logging to the unit per the manual (this would be a field note, by the way): Select Geocaching > Log Attempt: Select Found, Did Not Find, Needs Repair: Select an Option: To continue on to the next cache, select Find Next Closest; If finished logging, select Done; To enter a cache comment (Note[?]) select Edit Comment; to rate a cache (must be for the "other site"), select Rate Geocache Field notes must be uploaded to the website, similar to downloading data to the unit. You then edit and/or post your log via http://www.geocaching.com/my/fieldnotes.aspx Quote Link to comment

+Chief301
I couldn't work out how to log the find on the GPS unit! But thanks for the link to the full manual I'll have a read and hopefully work out what to do! You can't log the find from the GPS, it has no Internet service. You can write a log and save it, then upload it as a field note. But typing logs on a GPS is a PITA (a decent log, anyway)....why not just come home, fix yourself a cold beverage, and log your finds on the website? Quote Link to comment

But thanks for the link to the full manual I'll have a read and hopefully work out what to do! You can mark the geocache as "found" on your gps, but that doesn't log the find on the cache page. You can create a field note, as explained above. If you're trying to log the find online, you need to do it by visiting the cache page. (Doesn't sound like you're trying to do this using a phone.) Go to http://www.geocaching.com/seek/ , plug in the GC code to get to the cache page, then click on "log your visit" to log it online. B. Quote Link to comment

+Chrysalides
Give Garmin tech support a call. Why? Seriously. There are much better ways to raise your blood pressure. GPSCity has a series of videos on how to use the Oregon 600 that may be useful (I didn't watch them since I don't have the 600) Quote Link to comment

If there are usability issues or technical problems Garmin needs to know about them so they can (hopefully) provide better documentation, tutorials and software updates for their products.
