Wanders but not Lost Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Hello everyone! I'm curious as to what the experienced catchers would consider good geocaching tools to have in my toolkit? Besides a GPS and pencil of course! I have a flashlight, tweezers and mirror. Any other times to consider? Happy Caching! Quote
steben6 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Duct tape, pvc pipe (for caches up high), some magnets, fish line, and definitely a "grabber." Quote

Shinook & White Juan Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Adjustable wrench, mini screwdriver set and rabbit snare wire. Quote
dprovan Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 All I carry is a flashlight, long needle nose tweezers and an extendable 32" hook. I've used other things, but not often enough to bother carrying them unless something tips me off that I'll need them. Quote
CanadianRockies Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Plastic snow shovel...winter's coming. Quote
mischiefmonster Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 I bought a magnetic extendable wand. Comes in handy. I've also got tweezers, flashlight, gloves and a multitool. Quote
JoPo2010 Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 A couple of my friends carry brightly coloured flagging tape. A little bit tied to a tree close to the cache prevents unnecessary trampling of vegetation. Not for all hides, just those that don't abide by caching etiquette/rules--caches that are placed too far off the trail. Quote
