  13. Thanks everyone. The person who got this FTF before publication has taken over nearly all FTF in the area and made it next to impossible for ANYONE to get it...unless he is CO. And as such, he is really wreaking any chance for us newbies to get one. Is there much of a lag between it being posted on the site compared to when the notices get sent out? Hubby and I was sitting home one night when the notice went out and by the time we got there 4 blocks away, the greedy FTF geocacher was already there getting back in his car. It couldn't have been 10 mins since it was published. Hubby and I have great fun doing this even though we don't get out much between our work hours. (Hubby won't let me go out without him after a sprained an ankle jumping a ditch.) I wish we had found out about geocaching years ago.
  14. I have a few questions 1. How did a person write a note before the cache was published? 2. Is it a legitimate FTF? Or is this just being dirty?
  15. The first TB we found was totally by chance. The second one, we went out specifically for it. Which reminds me...it needs to go to the airport this weekend.
  16. I bought a magnetic extendable wand. Comes in handy. I've also got tweezers, flashlight, gloves and a multitool.
  17. Oh my goodness! Newbie error! I couldn't find a way, so I created a Pocket Queries. By the time I got the listing, half were already found. I've got the notifications on now.
  18. I know what you mean. I tried geocaching by myself and it's not really that fun. (When geocaching, you can always use another pair of eyes and hands.) I managed to get my husband Chef to join me on a few, but with his work schedule, it is sometimes impossible for us to get out together. The few times I've managed to take friends and their kids and it was a total blast! The rest of my friends think I have a screw loose for going geocaching. They don't know what they are missing.
  19. What bothers me is that if a trackable is listed as being in that cache and it's not. My partner, Chef, loves trackables, and he loves going after them, but it gets him so upset when he finds a cache listed as having one and it actually not there when we arrive. They have often been missing for months. Someone is hanging onto it and hasn't even logged it as out of that cache. I accept that it's just one of those things.
