+pppingme
The person owns the cache, it just most likely hasn't been published yet. Quite often CO's will drop TB's just before having their new caches published. Quote Link to comment
+Viajero Perdido
...and it's a bad idea, because sometimes the reviewer won't publish the cache, for any of the usual reasons. Then the would-be cache owner gives up, takes up another hobby, and the TB is stranded. Happens all the time with vacation caches. Quote Link to comment
+lamoracke
Once found a TB in a cache that was unpublished 4 years prior due to expanding my search looking for a cache. Quote Link to comment
+Walts Hunting
I also allows people to go find the cache which I believe is at 35°46'27.48"N 112° 7'42.24"W before it is published and sign the log. Cache is GC4PKBC Edited October 6, 2013 by Walts Hunting Quote Link to comment

Cache is GC4PKBC How did you find the coordinates? I see how you got the ID. Someone has dropped my trackable in an unpublished cache and I'm waiting to see what happens. Quote Link to comment
+Walts Hunting
It's pretty simple and I think you are missing how i got the ID since if you knew that you would know the coords Simply click show in Google Earth and it will download a kml file of all its travels. Open that and it automatically centers on the last location showing the coords and GC number. I have seen this mentioned pereviously when the issue of putting travelers in unpublished caches come up. I am guessing you just clicked on the link and then looked at the URL which will get you the GC number. If your guy is in an unpublished cache close to you you could go out now and sign the log then claim FTF when it does get published. Edited October 7, 2013 by Walts Hunting Quote Link to comment

Yes, you're exactly right about how I thought you got the GC number. That's amazing. thanks! (No, it's nowhere near me....) Quote Link to comment
+Walts Hunting
To bad it would be somewhat befuddling for the CO when you posted your log. Quote Link to comment
+Lil Devil
... and unfortunately the cache is on land owned by the Arizona State Land Trust which no longer allows caches on their lands, so it will not be published. The cache is owned by a responsible cache owner, so I'm sure he'll go out and move the cache and/or TB soon. Quote Link to comment
+Walts Hunting
Actually the bug listing has a note by him saying just that and he has already picked up the bug. I think I have picked up a few of his caches in the Yuma area. Maybe I will meet him in Yuma in Feb. Edited October 7, 2013 by Walts Hunting Quote Link to comment
+WarNinjas
Yea we never leave a TB that isn't ours in a cache we put out that hasn't been published for just this reason. Quote Link to comment
+Sagefox
Yea we never leave a TB that isn't ours in a cache we put out that hasn't been published for just this reason. I just did this a couple of weeks ago and plan on doing it again next week. The risk of these caches not being published is very low but even if the next one doesn't get published it is no big deal for me to jump on the bike and go retrieve it. Quote Link to comment
