What does it mean?

Recommended Posts

I see on logs

"On-on! No blow."

What does it mean?

I tried searching the forum but it wouldn't let me search for those words.

It's not a universal term so it's hard to tell without some context. It could have something to do with the theme of the cache, the finder's or the CO's name or something else entirely. Post the GC number of a where you read this.

Here's one page with logs as the OP says. The logs here seem to be referring to the Cache Owner "NoBlowH3" who uses "On-On!" in the cache description, so I'm guessing "On-On!" is a regional term (of enthusiasm?) or in-joke. You could ask the Cache Owner who might know what it means. :anicute:

I'm kind of partial to the Hash House Harriers origin of the phrase:

The end of a trail is an opportunity to socialise, have a drink and observe any traditions of the individual chapter. When the hash officially ends, many members may continue socialising at an "on-after", "on-down", "on-on-on", "apres", or "hash bash", an event held at a nearby house, pub, or restaurant.

The HHH, having it's beginnings in the 1930's, is described as, ""a drinking club with a running problem,".
