Need tips on etiquette

 

Is it OK to put a TB that you've found in a cache that you have already visited? Is it OK to put one I've found in a cache that I own. In the area that I cache, most caches aren't big enough for a TB. If I wait to find a new cache big enough for a TB, it might be a while.

Short answer: YES. Not so short answer: Yes and Yes.

It is fine to put a trackable in either case.

 

You should use a Note log instead of a Found It log -- unless you wish to find something that you have already found, or want to "Find" your own cache.

Definitely YES. I see it done all the time, people dropping bugs in there own caches, or a cache close to home that they've found. Usually there will just be a note posted, "bug drop" or something like that.

There are a couple of nice, large, TB hotels not far from where I live. They are right off the interstate and get a lot of visits. When I retrieve a TB from an out of the way place - especially when it has spent a long time in a cache - I take it to one of those caches, both of which I have visited before. I always leave a note to let the CO know I made a drop, or a swap.
