Have you looked into making your own using one of the many online certificate generators? I work as a graphic artist, and I have designed many a certificate. If you know what you want on the certificate and in what program (Word, Publisher, Illustrator, interactive PDF) I would be willing to design one for you. It's a nice idea.

thanks for the suggestions so far received, i have had a look at some web sites which allow you to make various types of certificates and also someone sent me a link to geocaching university which has one which can be printed in various sizes. as these are not exactly what im looking for it would be a great help to me if one could be designed as follows

 

some type of border, i was thinking of something which could relate to geocaching in some way, perhaps footprints?

 

the text to read 'Congratulations' at the top, then underneath in large font 'First to find'

 

more text to read 'Geocache GC ........' dots being a blank area where the GC number can be added

 

more text to read 'Titled.............................' or similar wording, again dots being a blank area to write in name of GC

 

then a space to put the owner of the GC titled 'Cache Owner'

 

it would be got to include an image such as the geocaching symbol if permitted to use, and one of signal the frog would be fun

 

 

the above design would be suitable to place in the GC container, once laminated, as a ftf prize

 

i thought it would also be good to have another design which could be sent to the ftf after they have logged the ftf, which would have a blank space to allow adding in the name of the team achieving ftf

Okay, here is one idea. I actually had a couple of certs from some past wellness programs that had some of the elements you wanted so I combined them and made this sample. It's a place to start. I loaded it onto my own website, hence the funky URL: http://www.yukitopia.com/ftf/certftf.pdf

FWIW, I've seen FTF tokens made from polymer clay. Some have been left by FTF hounds, in addition to their normal signature tokens. Some have been left by cache owners and collected by those who got the FTF.

Just to throw you another idea - this is an example of what I usually use.

The background image is taken near the cache.

I print then out Business Card size on photo paper.

They seem to go over quite well and also they will fit into smaller caches.

thanks, i think about half an A4 page would be a good size for a large ammo tin

 

if smaller versions were available that would also be great,

 

pdf is good or word document

 

 

wow, just had a look at the ftf certificate u have designed, its awesome!

 

i managed to copy a geocaching symbol of the web site which looks really good but i cant work out how to put it in this text box, also a 'found it' smiley face

 

would it be possible to use these symbols in the ftf certificate?

i am satisfied that i have achieved what i set out to do ( thanks to your skills and generosity) , by asking the question about someone having some sort of ftf certificate.

Apparently this is a regional thing, because I've never seen a FTF certificate it my area.

 

But it makes me wonder. What is a FTF certificate for? Would I hang it on my wall? Fill up a binder with them and share them at events? Scan them and add them to my profile?

The good thing is this hobby or game if you call it,

can be played a milion ways..

if some race for FFC and have fun doing so, please let them :-)

add a little simple FFC to your new cache, you might even enjoy the logs

or to see how fast someone find it. Share the fun, play along, why not.

if they put in on the wall, or binder, or throw it out, I dont care much :-)

however If I got time and space in the cache, I try to make it a little bit nicer looking,

but there is ALWAYS at least a little note saying : FFC for GCxxxxx congratulations you found it first,

even in the smallest of the caches I make.
