+Prime Suspect
Make it stop! My eyesight's bad enough without having to try reading grey text. As bad as it is on cache info, it's even worse in the logs, where you've got grey text on a light blue background. Did Jeremy buy a bunch of stock in Pearl Vision? Link to comment
+Stunod
Agreed. Make it black, PLEASE. ______________________ Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand. - Homer Simpson ChiTown Cachers * Keenpeople.com Stats Link to comment
lowracer
Make it black. Please. Why spend so much time designing new icons and making the text colors unreadable when good feature requests are going unimplemented? Link to comment
Jeremy
Odd. Looks black to me. There was an old css file that needed replaced, but otherwise it is pretty black. Jeremy Irish Groundspeak - The Language of Location Link to comment
+southdeltan
It doesn't look any different to me either. I also checked earlier when I first saw this thread (before he updated the css). I thought something was wrong with me until Jeremy posted southdeltan ------------------------------------------------ Link to comment
lowracer
I just checked it again, using Safari browser on Mac OS X, still grey. Also checked Netscape 7.1 on OS X, also grey there. Haven't got a PC handy to check it with... Look for example at this page: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=0bce8de1-ea54-4f0f-9e98-28fa67213399 , then compare the main body text with the words "Texas Geocaching Association." I'm seeing those words in black, and the rest grey. Link to comment
iryshe
Netscape 7.1 here looks black. Jeremy Irish Groundspeak - The Language of Location Link to comment
lowracer
OK I go in for new glasses next week. Will check back with y'all then. These spectacles I'm wearing now are so scratched that it may be making things look grey. I urge the others reporting grey text to get their lenses checked too! Is there some way I can upload a screen shot? Link to comment
iryshe
I don't doubt your sincerity. I just can't seem to duplicate the problem on my end to adjust the style sheets for you. Jeremy Irish Groundspeak - The Language of Location Link to comment
+Stunod
This is really weird. At work I saw the grey text. At home it is black. And I have the exact same setup at both locations. ______________________ Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand. - Homer Simpson ChiTown Cachers * Keenpeople.com Stats Link to comment
+Amazingracer
I geet black at work and grey here at home and everything is exactly the smae setup both places. I just can't seem to duplicate the problem on my end to adjust the style sheets for you. That's because style sheets get locally cached. I just checked the style sheet (http://www.geocaching.com/css/geo.css) and it first showed that the body font color was set to #474747 (gray). I forced a reload, and it loaded an altered sheet. So if anyone is still seeing the annoying gray text, dump your cache and reload the page. That should fix it. Link to comment

I still see grey. ______________________ Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand. - Homer Simpson ChiTown Cachers * Keenpeople.com Stats Link to comment
lowracer
Cool, thanks. That worked. I'm back in black. Link to comment
DiverMan
I dumped the cache (using mozilla 1.5). The text is back in black but the cache type icons have changed Duh, they are the new icons.
