+FollowMeChaps
I've had an enquiry about one of my caches that is now archived - http://coord.info/GCTVR0. They would like to reinstate and adopt it. Is this possible? Quote Link to comment
+dfx
You can ask a reviewer to unarchive it. Then you can adopt it out. Quote Link to comment
Pup Patrol
Um, why would one want to adopt an archived cache? Why wouldn't one just place a new one there? What was the reason for archiving? If it's a muggle problem, wouldn't a new cache have the same problems? But as for un-archiving a cache, here's the article in the Knowledge Books: http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=70 Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
Given it was Archived in 2009, I doubt it can be un-archived. As it was muggled, probably better to move it a short way away... Quote Link to comment
+Viajero Perdido
Groundspeak's policy is they will not un-archive caches for adoption purposes. Quote Link to comment
+Delta68
Groundspeak's policy is they will not un-archive caches for adoption purposes. However, I've seen VERY old caches in other countries get unarchived and adopted I've had an enquiry about one of my caches that is now archived - http://coord.info/GCTVR0. They would like to reinstate and adopt it. Is this possible? Now you've bought it to the attention of everyone, the answer will probably be a NO. You should have just quietly asked a friendly reviewer to unarchive it first and then see about adopting it out Mark Quote Link to comment
+Al 7365
My understanding was the reviewers only unarchived cache which had been archived for less than a year. So any cache that has been archived for more than a year will not be unarchived. Quote Link to comment
+Graculus
Simple answer is no, we'd not unarchive this one so it can be adopted over to a new owner. The article in the Knowledge Books (quoted above) is what we go by. Saying that it has been done in the past with particular caches. That would require approval from Groundspeak.
