+WaylessWood
If you are looking for input from NY cachers, the Mid-Atlantic forum would be a better option. RIP Good Friend is the largest that I've found. It's quite unusual too. For more traditional caches check out Gigantor - the mega cache and Claudius Smith: Outlaw's Lookout. Quote Link to comment

No, the Mid-Atlantic forum is deader than a doonail. I'm from NY, I found a cache in suburban Buffalo that was a chest, a little larger than your average military footlocker. I don't know who would have this information. Are you looking to place the largest cache in NY? Quote Link to comment
Keystone
I am moving this thread from the Geocaching Topics frorum to the Mid-Atlantic frorum. Quote Link to comment
bobthebest2
yes i am looking to place the largest cache in ny and iwould like to know how big to go Quote Link to comment
+Packanack
There is a virtual that is the Empire State Building, so you would have to go pretty big. Myself, I would concentrate on hiding something that I myself would like to find. Welcome to the game. Quote Link to comment
+Indiangrass
Aside from an earth cache, possibly ours: Buttonbush Pond at Puckerbrush Farm. Large crate that often contains snake skins and yes, maybe a sleepy wasp. Nothing too extreme and part of the local habitat. Enjoy! Quote Link to comment

I'm guilty of not looking at all the links posted, including in the post I quoted earlier. I would say you can't beat "RIP good friend" by Ziggy's Crew, which is an out of commision SUV (can't tell what make or model) on the owner's rural property. Quote Link to comment

+Ziggy Crew
Wow! I haven't been in the forums for some time. And this is an old one. Not to blow my own horn. But I believe that my "RIP Good Friend!!!" is the largest Physical cache in New York. Its a 1987 Mitsubishi Montero that I was playing with in the woods when she blew her motor where she sits to this day. I loved that that truck! Quote Link to comment
