Very small event question

Recommended Posts

Once a month I hold a non-profit making bushcraft and wilderness skills meeting in a woods near Milton Keynes, we stay there for 3 days, camping in the woods. We are surrounded by caches so I was thinking of offering an open kettle event to cachers in the area so anyone caching close by can pop in for a quick brew (free of course), is this doable within guidelines or not? (bring your own mug)!

I am guessing not, as the guidelines state:

While a music concert, a garage sale, an organized sporting event, a ham radio field day or a town’s fireworks display might be of interest to a large percentage of geocachers, such events are not suitable for submission as Event Caches because the organizers and the primary attendees are not geocachers.

Also would the attendees have to pay to attend?

Im not so sure about this. The organizer is a Cacher and who is to say that there are Cachers amoung the attendees. There may be some there that might be "bitten by the bug" and would like to take it up. The best thing to do would be to ask a reviewer if it would be allowed and then act on thier advice.
