+Castle Mischief
Didn't some role playing games back in the day take place heavily in cemeteries? Urban myth and misinformation. See also: Mazes and Monsters. Quote Link to comment
Trader Rick & Rosie
Land Ownership can have many restrictions imposed by various governments as well as tradition. Governments regularly restrict certain activities on land including residential or commercial use, archeological or environmental activities, right of way, riparian rights etc. Most modern laws have something to say about what a landowner can and can't do regarding a cemetery on his property, for example plowing it up... Just cuz the river runs thru it doesn't mean you can dam it up... Quote Link to comment
+Prescott Patrol
Well said. I am not going to argue it, I just wanted to see peoples opinions on why old caches were allowed to stay if it was against the law. Knowing the law has never been enforced, it makes more sense to me why they are still there. I don't want to be the person to test it! I'm not going to take the time to appeal to Groundspeak or try to argue with the reviewer or anything of that nature. I'll just find a new place to hide a cache! That's a shame because it doesn't appear as the though the law applies to your situation Land Ownership can have many restrictions imposed by various governments as well as tradition. Absolutely, however, the government forcing you to allow people on your land to look at your father's headstone is a far cry from willy nilly disinterment of bodies. I would have to see the statute mandating public access on family owned cemeteries before I believe it exists. Quote Link to comment
+BulldogBlitz
My understanding is a cacher stumbled across the law and brought it up to the reviewers and Groundspeak. sounds like any one of our forum wet blankets could have made that call. Quote Link to comment
+The Moofia Mob
I haven't seen any caches in cemeteries in Vegas but after reading this NRS 452.300 Unlawful to make or open road through cemetery or deposit material within cemetery without consent; penalties I can see why not Quote Link to comment
+brslk
I honestly hope that when I am dead and buried people will have fun and play around me. Not just leave me in a sacred place alone. I would love to have a cache placed on, near or in my headstone so that people might read it now and then and think of my name. Cemeteries were once considered to be a place to place the dead and celebrate their lives. Not to just plant bodies and forget them. Quote Link to comment

That would be cool Quote Link to comment
