Quick questin from newbie

Hi there-I've seen some geocaches listed that have a red line through them, what does that mean? TIA!

It means they have been archived or no longer available to find. The last log on the page should say why it was archived.

Actually it means they are disabled. Either by the CO for some reason such as maintenance or a reviewer until resolution of a problem.

 

Archived caches don't show up in searches.

In the lists I have (my found list, for example), the RED text/line indicates they are archived. Disabled ones are indicated by a BLUE text/line.

 

Also, if I do a search for nearest caches, only active and disabled caches are shown (not the archived). And the disabled ones are in blue text with a blue line through them.

The forums can be a bit odd at times but most people here are good and helpful.
