When you click on "My Profile" the GC map display your area? I know Seattle/Green Lake is the defualt. Quote Link to comment

+StarBrand Posted June 10, 2010 Share Posted June 10, 2010 Start with this page (make sure your logged in). http://www.geocaching.com/map/default.aspx Then type in your town off to the right hand side near the top where it says zoom to address. Hit go. On the resulting page there is a link for "link to this page" - click it and save the internet address as a favorite (bookmark) in your browser. From now on - use that link to view the map. I know Seattle/Green Lake is the defualt. did that and my coords are fine.. when i go to the hide seek a cache page and hit the google link, it still comes up with green lake... i guess it's not a default.. that implies you can change it..... go with starbrands favorite.. ought to work every time..
