Firefly03 Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I bought one of these at GWVIII. I didn't get any manufacturer for activation. How and where do I get the activation code? actually there should have been a sticker with the code along with the coin. however you can always retrieve it here: geocoins.biz (repost from ernies) Quote
+ernies Posted July 7, 2010 Author Posted July 7, 2010 I recived one of these from a friend how went to geowoodstock but it did not come with a activation # wondering what I should do? seems they forgot to give you the code sticker along. it is 10YEARS (for all of these coins). Quote
+ernies Posted July 7, 2010 Author Posted July 7, 2010 good news: Groundspeak will order more of the GS version, too. so there will be more of that version for sure. Quote
+fegan Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 When we filled out that survey, it said that although it wasn't a binding order, we WERE expected to buy: remember: this is not a final binding order. however, if you fill in this form, you are expected to buy. I DID expect to buy!! Now I may not be able to? I am NOT happy. Me too. Had I known they would be for sale in the US then I probably wouldn't have bothered signing up. However, even those which were available in the US were only available at GW...so now I guess we won't be getting one? Or if we do it looks like it will probably be August (or later) before we can purchase. Color me confused. Quote
+ernies Posted August 3, 2010 Author Posted August 3, 2010 finally the coins are in. available first to all those who made a reservation (prior to july 1). direct shop link: http://www.fsu.ch/webshop/index.php?Katego...r_lang=true?=en if you want to make a reservation now, you can find the link in this thread, way at the beginning. edition (quantity undisclosed): nickel, gold, matte gold, black nickel: Quote
+GeocoinGuy Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 I picked up one of these (Polished Gold version) from my favorite beancounter at Groundspeak during GW8 for US$10. Although the coin is 3", it is also zinc based, so the expected 'heft' is not there as it would have been with a copper based coin. The design of the coin is spectacular. I would have preferred IHE to the SE/Epoxy combo, but its beautiful nonetheless and a fantastic addition to my meager collection. ~J Quote
