+PaRacers
We're proud to present this year's ASPGB V event geocoin. Following the denizen's of the park theme, ATMouse has created another unique design to celebrate the fifth anniversary of ASP GeoBash. This curious porcupine has his eyes on a lock & lock hidden in that hollow stump. Trackable at geocaching.com and avaliable at Geoswag.com, these coins can be ordered online but must be picked up at the event. Antique Silver Size: 1.5" (38mm) x 2.5mm You can also order at our ASPGBV Store along with all the other ASP GeoBash goodies! Quote Link to comment
+LadeBear68
Really cute. I will order a couple and can't wait to see you guys at the Geobash again this year. Quote Link to comment
+StealthRT
Don't see too many curious porcupines on coins. They are at a fine price point. Quote Link to comment
+PaRacers
Fine indeed StealthRT! Not everything costs more these days, huh? For those who may not know, the ASPGB I coin was shaped like the park, every year since then it has featured one of the wildlife that can be found there. ASPGB II had a raccoon peeking around the parks leaf symbol. ASPGB III's Owl was striking against a glow in the dark moon and last years coin was a playful black bear chewing on a GPS. Visitors are likely to encounter any of these critters while enjoying the surrounding natural beauty of ASP. Most are harmless though and left alone, they go about their merry way. People are after all only visitors, it's their home. Edited March 19, 2010 by PaRacers Quote Link to comment

+gardengorilla
I almost ordered one then realized I'd have to go pretty far to pick it up! Will there be any for sale after the event? I love the coins made for this event and have both the owl and the racoon. I would love to see a pic of the bear coin as I don't have that one! Quote Link to comment

+PaRacers
We've had some great event coins these last five years. Quote Link to comment
+Sparticus06
Nah, I would not make a very good mascot. But yep, I have been seen several times running through the woods up there. At least I am not like sasquatch, elusive. Quote Link to comment
ATMouse
The pre-orders for this geocoin will close on April 12th. There will be some geocoins available at the Store during the event. Quote Link to comment
+PaRacers
I'm not taking any chances! I just preordered 2 more from GeoSwag. When I first saw their presale page I thought it was a misprint....$6.97 in this day of $10.00+ geocoins? Quote Link to comment
+brownout
I got mine ordered for this year, but my favorite will always remain the racoon one. He was so cute! Quote Link to comment
+PaRacers
Presales at GeoSwag have ended but there will be some (?) avaliable only at the event. We have an XLE edition on ebay now with proceeds to benefit ASP GeoBash. It's Satin Gold, the regular version being Antique Silver. ASPGB V XLE here Quote Link to comment
ATMouse
Our second one-of-a-kind XLE geocoin is up for auction on ebay! This one is satin silver. All the money raised from this sale goes to the event. Allegany State Park GeoBash V XLE geocoin Who knew how that tents and porta-potties and tables and chairs and all the stuff it takes to make the event run costs so much? Quote Link to comment
