+Jomer & Traci
Next month I get an AT&T upgrade. I was planning on the iPhone for the Geocaching features, but now I am not sure. I would love to hear some feedback if anyone has one! Quote Link to comment
+ZeroHecksGiven
why aren't you sure? I've been using it, got my first 200 finds with it and it's been fun. Sure, it's not a full fledged GPSr and the only real issue I have is when I get out of cell reception, there is no way for me to really know where I'm at besides a dot where I am and a dot where the cache is. Which isn't a BIG deal until you get a mile or so away and you're in the woods, lol. I love it! Quote Link to comment
+Jomer & Traci
I am not sure because now there is this new phone! I want to know how it compares. I have used an iPhone for caching before, but two years is a big commitment and I want to make sure I make the right choice Quote Link to comment
+coreynjoey
I'd go with the iPhone. The Nuvi sounded great when they first announced it 2 years ago, but now it's dated. I've read that Garmin will be ditching their proprietary OS and switching to Windows Mobile and Android for future phones. Quote Link to comment
Jim1348
I just bought the Garmin Nuvifone G60 a few weeks ago and it is working well for me. Quote Link to comment
+Blue Power Ranger
I've had access to one as part of my job. It is not suitible for Geocaching. Don't bother. IPhone is a MUCH better option, no comparison. Quote Link to comment
John E Cache
AT&T announced they are coming out with 5 new Android phones the first half of this year. I am using an unlocked Android phone on AT&T which does not support AT&T's 3G network. There are a few very good free Android Geocaching apps. I am looking forward to the official AT&T Android phones. EDIT: The first Android comes out March 7th. http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-ser...otobackflip.jsp Edited February 19, 2010 by John E Cache Quote Link to comment
