+yellowbus
I have a DeLorme PN-40 and tried to use the Copy to GPS function on Geocaching.com but unsuccessful. It passed the first two steps (check for plug-in and connect to device) but failed when trying to send the geocache info to the device. The error message indicating a time-out problem but I know the device is talking to the PC okay because the Transfer to SD Card function works. Can someone help? Thanks! I read somewhere on this forum that the Copy to GPS function is available to premium members only but it seems to work for me as a basic member (the button is not greyed out.) Well, at least it started to work. Below is the text from the Copy to GPS pop-up screen: 1. Checking for browser plug-in (PASSED) Plugin version "1.0 IE, Build 138407" found. 2. Connecting to GPS device (PASSED) Attached to: Earthmate PN-40 3. Sending geocache information (FAILED/TRY AGAIN) The geocache transfer has timed out. Please try again. 4. Disconnecting from GPS device (PASSED) Finished. Quote Link to comment

+BrrrMo
You need to be a premium member I don't think you have to be aPremium Member. I had a problem a while back with this same thing. The fix for me was to read the popup box because I had to turn something on at Garmin Quote Link to comment
+KG1960
Yes, you have to download a plugin from Garmin, but I thought that only works with Garmin units. I don't know if other brands have their own plugins. Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
It works with DeLorme (with their plugin installed) but you need to be a Premium Member. See these previous discussions. And if you search, you can find others. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=216667 http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=217209 Quote Link to comment
+redjada
I have a garmin. Never had a problem with this. Even not being a PM. Quote Link to comment
+yellowbus
Thanks for all your inputs. I got it to work on a different computer so the problem must be isolated. Not sure what to do with it though. Quote Link to comment

+yellowbus
Here's my understanding of browser compatibility in terms of the Send to GPS function... Firefox 2: works (tested myself) IE8: doesn't work (tested myself) IE7: works (tested myself) IE6: doesn't work (according to other posts) Quote Link to comment
