  1. How about fly out to Las Vegas and get married at GCQ596? You can host an event there, get married, and log the cache there as a bonus.lol
  2. We haven't got way back yet but it is on our list to get soon. We will be glad to replace and take care of it. We saw that it was reported to need some TLC.
  3. Some find LPC’s to be lame and others don’t. We received a thank you email on one of ours from a cacher because a LPC is typically handicap accessible and it was one way for her and her wheelchair bound husband to still get out and enjoy geocaching.
  4. Our first finds were with the TomTom. It can be done but it makes it a great deal harder to find the caches. It's like ocean fishing with a zebco 202.lol Sometimes you get lucky. Soon after starting this obscession, err game /sport ,we upgraded to a garmin vista hcx and then the oregon.
  5. We used one of those containers when we sold a house. They are not waterproof and do not hold up.
  6. We made ours out of a wine cork.
  7. No. Any member can hide a cache. Just follow the Groundspeak guidelines.
  8. The kids wanted to go caching rather than trick or treating. So caching we went and of course there had to be at least one near a cemetery.
  9. nick ciske is also a big help with puzzle solving.
  10. Cemetery caches like any other cache types and sizes, have those that like them and those that hate them. We have one cache at a loved ones grave, as a way of involving him in our caching.
  11. Armchair puzzle caching seems to be taking hold around here. The CO's don't have problems with it. They like to see their caches found. Helping solve the puzzle is one thing but not going to GZ and claiming a find is another. For us it just seems wrong and we won't be claiming a cache that we didn't sign the log.

Both are good GPS's but not paperless.
  13. We've had one out in an ice chest for several months. The contents gets damp after a while when there has been a lot of rain. Not really the best thing to use. We will be replacing it soon.
  14. Texas Police Officer, 20 years.
  15. We had the same problem but updated to E7 on computer that didn't work on and it works now.
  16. We got the Garmin Oregon 300 for paperless. I let others borrow our other GPS's but not it. I couldn't part with it. For us it is great.
  17. Yes they do help BUT be sure when you adjust them to lock them tight because they can collapse and cause you to lose your footing and fall. I leaned that one the hard way.
  18. Ours wasn't working either but upgraded to IE7 and is working great now. Thanks to you that recommended it.
